Your muscles don’t actually make decisions on their own. They follow directions.
It’s possible that unhelpful directions have resulted in some muscles being too short in relation to their teammates.
This video guides you to very gently use your fingers on the sides of your neck to invite two groups of muscles to get a little longer.
Typically, these cues lead to greater range of motion for turning and tilting the neck, and greater availability for deeper and more relaxed breathing.
